ABSTRACT

Databases of configurable information systems must use as storage elements not specific factual data, but user’s (subject’s) work to obtain the data. It is the solution for the problem of reducing semantic gap between an user and a developer. It will also provide real flexibility of databases depending on domain process model. The main difference of proposed idea is that nowadays conditions require shift from the concept of the object to a subject. The subject (subject-oriented) concept, unlike the object simulates not specific factual data, but works for obtaining these data, the combination of which is a user configuration of information system. To provide these opportunities it is necessary to create such tools, which will ensure implementation of following requirements: variable number of characteristics used to simulate the process of obtaining data; variable values of these characteristics. The paper presents the solution for modelling of procedures of data obtaining as a subject-oriented data model. Proposed solution is based on the concept of "user work", which is nominally represented by next characteristics: elements, functions and tools by which an user obtain desired result (specific factual data). This approach is close to an user and easy to formalize because of single concept representation. Such opportunity is necessary to create a model of automated translation of user works on obtaining data to the configuration of information system.
