STATISTICAL ANALYZES OF THE UNDERGROUND COAL GASIFICATION PROCESS REALIZED IN THE LABORATORY CONDITIONS

ABSTRACT

The technology of the underground coal gasification (UCG) is still under development and is able to have a wide utilization in the future. One advantage is that it is less expensive than conventional coal mining. It is needed to build system of the two wells – at least one injection (for oxidizers input) and at least one production (for syngas output). The physical model of the gasifier in geometrical similarity for obtain knowledges about UCG process was created. This gasifier simulates of the real coal seam conditions. This paper describes statistical analyzes of the experiment realized in this laboratory gasifier. There was observed gasification front movement with using temperature values on the selected places of the gasifier. The aim was to determine whether the gasifier fulfills the conditions in terms of evenly gasification front movement along the laboratory gasifier length.
