In modern LMS computer testing is widely used for the purpose of control of the educational process. One of them is educational computer test which provides personalization of knowledge control. The main advantage of this type of testing is a complete picture of the student’s knowledge. However, there are some drawbacks: the complexity of the analysis and the necessity of involving experienced specialists into test tasks verification.
These problems can be solved by means of fuzzy logic, which provides techniques for handling cognitive issues in the real world. In this particular case fuzzy logic are necessary in order to work with a set of if-then rules.
The author proposes a method for the Educational tests analysis which can automatically find weak points in the tests. This method can also point towards themes and learning modules that are not comprehensible to students.
As a result, it becomes easier to use educational tests and receive more information about students’ knowledge from test results.
Implication of this method lies in development of computer software integrated into LMS.
