ABSTRACT

This paper aims to highlight the use of specific methods and technologies of
transmission of the planimetric and altimetry reference system on the surface, to the
underground equipment, using modern methods of determination that can provide
results that fall within the tolerances required. The first phase of work was achieved by
making a planimetric network of the surface by GPS satellite measurements (static
method) and classic measurement with a total station (traverses method). The second
stage of the work was to transfer the planimetric network on the surface through the
underground of Telegedy Mine, using classic measurement with a total station
(traverses method) and sending the X, Y coordinates utilizing the lead wire fed through
the ventilation shaft, which was stabilized in oil for 3 days. In order to transmit the
coordinates, four concrete terminals were placed (in secured areas) on the surface and
two concrete terminals underground, at the bottom of the shaft ventilation. The
contribution of the paper can be summed up accordingly: alignment techniques;
methods and European standards; homogeneous determinations; the need to use modern technology, practically independent of weather conditions.
