ABSTRACT
The article deals with possible technologies of electronic waste processing. It is concerned about treatment with its plastic parts by processes of high-heat decomposition. In the introduction article it studies electronic waste composition. It presents materials balance of personal computers focused on contain of plastics. It is followed by possibilities of plastics processing. The article devotes to possibilities of their high-heat decomposition. There are described various kinds of plastics in electronic waste. There is presented an experiment in the field of plastics processing carried out within research work at VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava. The detailed description of high-heat reactor is given as same as the whole process of the experiment with generation of gaseous emissions and their treatment. The results presented at the end of the article seem to be very challenging. The high-temperature decomposition of plastics in electronic waste is worth developing and upgrading.
