ABSTRACT
The new implementations of the coastal protection works within their ongoing extensions are producing several changes/reconsideration of the initial Master Plan. Thus, it will take into consideration the new changes of the hydrodynamic regime in several ways. The coasts will most likely change and the plan must be completed and revisited, based on the modeling of coastal rapid evolution process on long term and special event occurrence. The aim of the master plan is to slow and stop the rapid changes, taking place at this moment, bringing the coast to a its ideal form to prevent future erosion processes and to make cost effective the artificial beach nourishments on long term. The occurrence of extreme phenomena is approached in an innovative manner to cope to the new hydrodynamic intricate regime, to produce better and more realistic scenarios. Thus, the rate of decomposition needs to be recalculated to fulfill the new Master plan. Optimizing the work flow for valid prediction of an ideal long-term shoreline changes is vital to diminish the erosion and the variations of coastal stability.
