ORGANIC MATTER COMPOSITION IN REPRESENTATIVE SOILS FROM IGNIS MOUNTAINS

ABSTRACT
The present study analysis organic matter components for 4 soil subtypes from, represented by a gleyc histic Stagnosol (795 m), an umbric-andic Districambosol (930 m), a histic cambic-skeletic Andosol (1005 m) and a histic lithic Andosol (1041 m). The research aims to indentify organic matter quantitative and qualitative differences. The results show that organic accumulation is high, the humus content presents the highest values in the case of the umbric-andic Districambosol and the lowest values in the case of the gleyc histic Stagnosol. The main extractible component is represented by fulvic acids. The huminic acids predominate only in the gleyc histic Stagnosol, in which case the humus quality is higher.
