ABSTRACT
Mining activity includes all works concerning prospecting, exploration, development, exploitation, preparation, conservation and closure, including restoration and rehabilitation works related to the environment. Management of mineral resources is an important issue for each country. A good management must have as a technical support a comprehensive and accurate record system from that information and decision shall be quick results. The flux of mining design activity is analysed, underlining the place of topographical information and their importance in designing the turning – into account of mineral deposits. The obtaining and storage of topographic information is presented in a model of organization and storage. The stages at which topographical information is stored are stated. Methods of measuring and processing data are shown.

Keywords: mining surveying, topographic underground networks, topographic measurements
