A NEW APPROACH RELATED TO THE BIG STRUCTURES REAL TIME MONITORING

ABSTRACT
Time tracking of structures behavior refers to changes in the position and shape of the assembly or some of its elements, as well as the emergence referral of evolutionary phenomena, which may affect the safety of the structures. This allows to take swift measures to prevent accidents, disasters and loss of lives. Therefore, activity tracking behavior in time of the structures must be thoroughly organized, with specialists with solid scientific and technical training, using the apparatus and methods which ensure appropriate accuracy requirements of such work. It should be noted that currently, while monitoring the structures behavior exceeded the narrow routine maintenance, as it was considered until recently, gained a scientific nature, aimed at study and verify in the exploitation of the most adequate solutions, that fully satisfy and at a rate as fast as possible, the various exigencies imposed by the national economy development, creating the optimum conditions for living and working in complete safety of the structures placed in exploitation.
The present paper exposes a way to improve the real time monitoring of big structures, adding near the classical equipment an innovative solution based on a redundant miniaturized accelerometric network. The proposed architecture of our system includes a network of low-cost three dimensional miniaturized accelerometric detectors with dual-role, initiating the automatically geodetic system and rough assessment of the absolute displacement of the structure, and a total robotized station, which aims marks equipped with prisms mounted on the construction body in the same areas with accelerometric detectors. This architecture offers the possibility to obtain a database and certain evolution graphics which allow the online assessment of the monitored structure current situation compared with previous analyzes and making a decision by alerting the user in case of exceeding the predetermined critical values.
