USING PORE PRESSURE SENSORS TO MONITOR THE MOVEMENT OF WATER LEVEL CHANGES IN THE BODY OF RADOVESICE DUMP

ABSTRACT

The submitted paper describes general data about geology, hydrology and hydrogeology
of Radovesice dump. There are eleven hydrogeological monitoring objects in the area of
interest. Monitoring of the water level in these objects is proceeding every month.
Hydrogeological objects are situated to the aquifers inside the dump body and close to
the dump floor. Between January 2009 was realized the new monitoring object with six
pore pressure sensors. The submitted paper shows particularly our experiences with the
evaluation of the results from this monitoring object and the involvement to the existing
hydrogeological monitoring network. Some part of the work is devoted to the second
monitoring object with four pore pressure sensors, which was realized in the beginning
of the year 2010.
