ABSTRACT
One of the important aspects of the production plant management is the control of technological processes, measurement and diagnostics. The article describes the use of thermography in processes where the temperature is the carrier of status information. They are given the theoretical background, practical measurements on mining companies and their evaluation.
Measurements were carried out mainly for diagnosis of electrical equipment, switchgear, drives and rotating parts (e.g. rollers and gears in belt transport ...). Measurements were subsequently evaluated and were verified how is possible proactively detect defects using thermography and analysis of thermal imaging.

Keywords: Thermography, technical diagnostics, proactive maintenance, comparative measurements
