SEPARATION OF SAMARIUM, EUROPIUM AND ERBIUM BY NAPHTHENIC ACID SOLUTION AT THE STOICHIOMETRIC RATE OF EXTRACTANT

ABSTRACT
General equilibrium constants of extraction process were determined by scope and intercept coefficient method for samarium, europium and erbium using naphthenic acid. The constants of lanthanide naphthenates formation were defined. Equilibrium composition of liquor was calculated by the system of thermodynamic equations. It was established that anion form of naphthenic acid takes a part in formation of lanthanide naphthenates. Potential of using the stoichiometric quantity of naphthenic acid was shown for the process of extraction of samarium, europium and erbium with pH from 3,5 to 5,5 and separation factor at least 2.
