ABSTRACT
The article provides data related to zoning of porphyry copper deposits. Results of additional survey of porphyry copper occurrence in Zhongaro-Balkhash System are given. In recent years was conducted metallogenic analysis. The results of the authors’ work on the synthesis of a large amount of factual material precursors and additional exploration of copper-bearing Zhongar Balkhash-fold system showed a number of new laws to identify porphyry copper mineralization. Most of the porphyry copper ore occurrences (52%) Zhongar Balkhash-fold system placed in the Carboniferous continental margin Tasty-Cusack-Kotyrasan-Altynemel volcano-plutonic belt and 16% of occurrences are within the Carboniferous-Permian intercontinental Balkhash-Ili volcano-plutonic belt. We recognized the predominant link between porphyry copper occurrences (41%) with granodiorite and granite porphyry small intrusion bodies from Early Carboniferous Balkhash complex. Ore-bearing rocks are also granitites of Middle Carboniferous Toparsky (14%) and Kaldyrminsky (10.3%) complexes, granitites of Early Permian Koldarsky (Aktogai) complex. There are all three porphyry copper deposits of Aktogai groups in Koldarsky complex. Porphyry bodies of Saryshagan and Sokurkoy deposits consist with dfgites and granite-sienites of Torangylyksky complex. Required new survey works for discovery of new porphyry copper deposits are justified.
