ABSTRACT
This paper analyzes the extent to which the improvement with a green roof leads to variations in the energy performance of an existing building. The applied assessment criteria is the energy consumption to compensate for heat loss during heating period, with highlights on the entire building envelope, but also on the specific influence of he roof solution. The heating and cooling demand has been evaluated for the initial configuration of the roof-top terrace and for modifications drawn in order to fill the terrace.
