ABSTRACT

Blended learning, which combines online with face-to-face learning, enables the interconnection of human social interaction needs and the possibility of individual learning processes. The article discusses the blended model of teaching and the possibility of its application in teaching foreign languages at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of the Technical University of Kosice with the seat in Presov. The author points to the advantages and disadvantages of implementation the model into practice and emphasizes, on the one hand, the specific role of a teacher, and on the other hand the position of an active student within blended learning model.
