ABSTRACT

RFID technology allows automatic identification and leads to increased production and logistic processes efficiency [1]. Applications are based on product or component marking with RFID tag, reading of the identifier in essential places of production and logistic processes, processing and filtration of this information and subsequent distribution to the higher level of information system (EPCIS).
Paper deals with our scientific effort during implementation of RFID technology in the mining and automotive industry. Paper brings practical results from laboratory RFID tag testing for a group of special transport containers with ESD protection and describes process of selection of the most appropriate RFID tag for those containers proper identification.
