ABSTRACT

The system proposed in this paper is a numerical system that allows measuring the
rotation speed and the number of revolutions of a rotating gear.
The proposed system is designed to be a portable tool that combines several methods for
determining the rotation speed of a gear. Although it is a hand tool, this system is able
to be included in a speed monitoring system, because it is developed around a
microcontroller with serial communication functions to external systems. The system
thus developed has its own display available in a system with the possibility of scrolling
the measured information.
