ABSTRACT

The aim of this paper is to present a GIS based possibility for determining the possible location of lost tourist. To achieve this it uses Dijkstra algorithm on DEM as the fundamental algorithm. The novelty consists in developing a parameterized analysis algorithm with the corresponding user interface which takes account not only the DEM and the last seen position of the lost tourist, but also the land cover, the meteorological conditions and the fatigue of the person, based on his age and skill in hiking.
