ABSTRACT

In this paper, I have presented how to create a textual territorial database, of the information system of the land registry office, for a territorial sector in Iasi, in order to increase efficiency and performance of information systems of various users.
In Iasi, the territorial information system needs to manage the territory, for sustainable development, needs to be flexible because users require maintenance regarding legislative, technological changes and any changes in relation to new registration methods.
Any changes in time of real estate propertys, in terms of surface, form, usage, destination and legal status, are a consequence of real estate operations and other human activities, as well as of the action of nature. In order to record and catalogue these changes, a large quantity of information is being used, that needs to be updated continuously.
The information system of the land registry office, by providing storage and correlation of a large range of graphical data, together with a unique textual database, coordinates activities such as property management, collection of fees and taxes, city planning, territorial organization, etc., thus providing opportunities to streamline the entire administrative infrastructure.

Keywords: database, land registry office, information system, real estate property, cadastral sector.
