ABSTRACT

Leaching of strontium sulfate (SrSO4) concentrate in the presence of nitric acid (HNO3)
was investigated in this study. The effects of some operating parameters such as stirring
speed, leaching temperature, acid concentration, solid/liquid ratio and particle size on
the leaching of SrSO4 were determined and Sr was obtained from the solution 91.35%
efficiency at 400 rpm, 60 oC, 1M, 2 g/500 mL, -75 μm respectively.

Keywords: Leaching, nitric acid, strontium sulfate.
