ABSTRACT

By this paper it will be discussed the mine opening concept, which determines the way
of mining function and design of underground mining objects that will have dual
effects. The opening of Mazhiq mine as preliminary concept is presented in two phases.
The first phase aims the construction of underground mining objects with the character
of the preparatory works, which include mining facilities such as spiral corridors,
connection corridors between these corridors ie ramp with steep vertical stack. The
second phase is presented as a concept of exploitation of mineral bodies using the
method of filling the space with bottom-up mining method and ore gravitational fall
through the stack constructed earlier. Both phases in principle use the same facilities
that are used for opening and will be used for exploitation as objects: spiral corridors,
corridors and coonections that were previously used for ventilation of mining facilities
and currently the same mining object such as ore stack from the highest level in the
lower level.
