Encountered problems on community which organized level being high, solution of problems
of qualities and quantities have been different. Using computer being widespread in
production and developments in communication technology solved many problems which to
suppose his solutions is impossible but at this time, they created new complex problems that
to concern about topics of specialization and occupation [Selimoğlu, 2004].
Modern management models are used instead of management models of classical
mining because of developed technologies and competition markets. Time for decision –

techniques, resulting in increase in the productivity and profit.
It’s revealed to necessary that data must collect, keep and manage correctly for making
a decision, aim to constitute the system mentioned as new production management model.
Mining management models based on Geographic Information System (GIS) is rarely
applied in the mining industry. In this paper, the results of a pre study carried out at Kutahya
Magnesite Mine to constitute a mining management model based on GIS are presented.
