THE VERTICAL PROFILE OF TROPOSPHERE PARAMETERS ABOVE THE AIRPORT IN DĘBLIN

ABSTRACT

The paper presents the results of meteorological parameters in vertical profile of troposphere above the aerodrome EPDE in Dęblin, in Poland. The vertical profile of meteorological parameters in troposphere zone is very important in context of products of air meteorology. The vertical distribution of the troposphere’s metrological parameters is also very important for performing flight operations by pilots and air traffic control services. Appropriate metrological protection allows pilots to fully prepare for the aviation mission. Scientific research carried out in the work is intended to broaden the theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the use of aeronautical meteorology in the safety and weather protection of air operations. In the work, three meteorological elements were selected for analysis: air temperature, atmospheric pressure and relative humidity. The vertical profile of meteorological parameters was designated using empirical models of troposphere (SA and UNB3m models) and also real value of metrological data from SYNOP message from Dęblin/Irena 12490 station. The mean difference of temperature parameter between SA model and SYNOP data equals to 1.20oC, whereas between UNB3m model and SYNOP message amounts to -0.80oC. The mean difference of pressure parameter between SA model and SYNOP data equals to -3.6 hPa, whereas between UNB3m model and SYNOP message close to -6.1 hPa. The mean difference of relative humidity parameter between SA model and SYNOP data equals to -6.5%, whereas between UNB3m model and SYNOP message amounts to 2.2%
