College of Logistic focuses on the education of logistic engineers. Several labs are used for practical training of students. One of them is the RFID lab, where students can work with logistic models focused on information systems. This paper focuses on the utilization of information stored in the information system. Data are gathered from train model that presents the transport part of logistics chain. Reed contacts and RFID readers with preprocessing infrastructure are used for data acquisition. Data gathering tasks perform common EPCIS functions and students can configure them. These tasks present real solutions used in industry to students. Data stored in relation database can be post processed in a different manner. One of them is visualization of recent activities in train model. Logistic transport units can be configured by students too. Additional data and meta-information can be added to any tracked object and display them in the visualization environment. Simulation model of data flow and processing is discussed in the paper too. The model allows simulating any behaviors and activities of particular parts of the selected logistics chain.
