STUDYING THE INFLUENCE OF RIVER WORKS USING 1D HYDRODINAMIC MODELLING TOOL

ABSTRACT
The present work presents a comparative study flow modelling in the natural riverbed and regularized. Hydrodynamic model was developed in one-dimensional program HEC -RAS for a section of the river Baraolt, Covasna County. The river reach analysed had a length L=2,15km, and 20 cross section. For both scenarios were used the same boundary conditions upstream and downstream, respectively the flow hydrograph of Q10%. After the modelling simulations it was observed a high flow improvement and a significant decrease in the water level in the modified channel flow case, with respect to the natural channel flow case.
