ABSTRACT
The application of geothermal energy is modern and ecological. The Czech Republic is endowed with only a few springs of low temperature. However, the research of renewable sources of this type has a long history in the Czech Republic and the first usable results of the research of deep sources of geothermal energy has appeared. The area of the České středohoří Mts. is very hopeful from point of view of the thermal spring occurrence. This tertiary area is relatively young and the structural bores that trench the lower layers of the geological basement are situated here. The first results of our research are described in this article.
