ABSTRACT
The hydrogen obtained by electrolysis of water, using electricity from renewable energy sources, is one of the key technologies, which can contribute significantly to achieving sustainable energy sources. This paper presents the results of comparative study regarding the electrolytically production of hydrogen by two types of hybrid energy systems. The first hybrid power system was the type solar hydrogen (SE-HS) and the second type is hybrid power system wind hydrogen (SE-HE), energy systems that supply a residential building with a low energy, with location in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Analysis of electrolytic hydrogen production was conducted during one year of operation by evaluating the following performance indicators: energy used by electrolyser to generate hydrogen, operating time of electrolyser and the amount of hydrogen produced, also the amount of electricity that can be generated using the electrolytic hydrogen. The purpose of comparative analysis was to determine the most favorable version of the system which can be used for power supply of consumer type passive house, on contextual conditions to analyzed emplacement. The results show that using hydrogen on hybrid power generation systems favors increasing the use and harnessing of the renewable sources available for emplacement study, hydrogen is a storage medium thereof, also is the source of energy during the supply for intermittences caused by weather conditions and for covering the peak load demands.
