COMBINATION OF GAS ENGINE HEAT PUMP WITH A GEOTHERMAL CLOSED-LOOP SYSTEM IN SLOVAKIA.

ABSTRACT
Heat pumps with internal combustion engines for natural gas, in combination with low-potential heat sources contribute to reducing energy consumption, especially in air conditioning systems. They were developed as an alternative to electric heat pumps, to reduce burdens of electricity network and its fluctuations especially in need of cooling in the summer period. In addition, gas heat pumps can use heat from several sources: engine cooling, exhaust gas and the heat pump itself. Because of these advantages, heat pumps become interesting and potential energy resources in the market. These new modern devices previously existed only in involving air / water and in Central Europe is considerably little information about their energy efficiency. The article deals with the experimental measurements of the gas heat pump under real conditions and transformation of equipment to another source of low potential heat - heat from the ground.
