This paperwork presents the concept of fertigation and also a special device developed at the prototype level based on a patent of one of the authors. In the first part of the paper there is analyzed the usefulness of fertigation and most popular methods for solving this problem. The following part presents the solution came from the patent and some of the main performances of the equipment, the advantages of using this type of equipment, making a technical and technological description of the unit as a hydraulic system. The analyzed injection device will use as working fluid the irrigation water, taken from the same pipe that the primary solution, which supplies the input of fertilizing substance, is injected in. The energy source is provided by the pressure of the working fluid within the irrigation system; in this way, the device is fully autonomous and it can be placed in any area of the irrigation arrangement.
In the end there is a presentation of expected results and conclusions on the validity and usefulness of this equipment are formulated.
