ABSTRACT
In current turbulent environments, it is of vital importance that both commercial and production organisations maintain their high entrepreneurial potential and seek for new market opportunities.
This concerns all national economy industries inclusive engineering. In the Czech Republic, the abrasive silicon carbide is often used in engineering to grind, burnish, and lap various materials. Decisions about which country might become a purchaser of silicon carbide, or identifying a market gap depend among others on the evolution of the specific country macroeconomic indicators, like gross domestic product (GDP), inflation, and industrial production index (IPI).
The assessment of some macroeconomic indicators provided for meeting this paper’s objective, namely identification of the German marketplace potential for increasing sales of silicon carbide.
