ABSTRACT
Sensors belong to the principal components of the monitoring and control systems. They are used for direct and for indirect measurements of thermodynamic parameters which are crucial to improve the quality of measurement and monitoring systems. It creates information link between executive, control systems and operators. In the paper the principles of the development of advanced sensors and their thermodynamic advantages is presented. Examples of the combustion sensor development using methods of physical modelling are presented. On this basis can be developed sensors of heat transfer, gas composition, combustion, or other variables respectively. The proposed sensor allows generate optimal parameters for a specific process. Sensor after calibration ensures reliable operation, high sensitivity and reproducibility. It is suitable for in-situ measuring which creates new opportunities for the creation of intelligent thermal components and equipment. The used fluidic principle gives robustness with contemporary high sensitivity. Advantage of the developed fluidic sensor is the possibility to be placed in critical positions where the information value is significantly higher.
