ABSTRACT

The objective of the work was a laboratory examination of biodegradation of sewage
sludge from the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (ÚČOV) in Ostrava, which had
undergone physical pre-treatment by means of a spark discharge or UV radiation. The
laboratory tests made use of a bacterial mixture of Rhodococcus sp. and Pseudomonas
putida.
