STABILITY OF THE LEVEES IN CASE OF HIGH LEVEL OF THE WATER

ABSTRACT
In this work we present preliminary results of two-dimensional dynamic modeling of the levee stability in case of high level of the water. Performed calculations are the part of the ISMOP project whose objectives span construction of an artificial levee, design of wireless sensors for levee instrumentation, development of a sensor communication infrastructure, and a software platform for execution management, data management and decision support. The aim of our work is to prepare a wide variety of simulation scenarios for different values of geotechnical parameters and different initial conditions. These scenarios will be used to developed a software platform in ISMOP project. In this paper we focused on influence of different initial conditions on the stability of levees and distribution of such parameters as stress, strain, displacement in the levees and their neighborhood.
