EXPERIMENTAL TESTING TO MEASURE OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCES OF AN CHOPPER EQUIPMENT USED FOR RECYCLING WASTE WOOD

ABSTRACT

The paper presents the experimental research developed in our institute, after the
physical realization of the chopper equipment for breaking-up and crumbling waste
wood branches, in order to measure/check its technical and technological performance.
The equipment, which makes a mechanized chopping of the wood wastes, was
presented at the last edition of the conference, SGEM-2011. The testing equipment was
made by using a modern instrumentation, with monitoring and the acquisition of main
functional parameters. The paper shows the technical solutions for the implementation
of sensors and transducers on equipment for taking the evolution of the mechanical and
hydraulic parameters. Also, it is presented the system used for measuring and recording
the main functional parameters of the equipment and, finally, it is showed some
variation of graphics functional parameters of the equipment. The equipment is used to
promoting advanced technologies and equipment for wood waste recycling, in order to
obtain the ecological compost, necessary for developing a sustainable agriculture [1].
