ABSTRACT

During the mining and thermal treatment of the raw materials high quantity of fine
granular and powdered substance is released. Which, despite of its very good chemical
composition, because of its granulometry is hardly used and its majority becomes
a waste. Fine granular fractions of raw materials are waste product of the separation
in heavy suspensions. Another source is flue dust from thermal treatment furnaces. The
objective is to increase the utilisation of fine granular fractions. Proposed concepts are
based on reducing the amount of dust waste and designing the new technologies which
enable effective heat treatment of these materials and thus full-value utilization of this
technology. New development was oriented towards possibilities of improvement
of fine granular material thermal treatment by the development of new types of thermal
apparatuses.
