A REGIONAL STEADY STATE GROUNDWATER FLOW MODELING OF THE QUATERNARY DEPOSITS USING ISOTOPE-HYDROGEOCHEMICAL DATA, EASTERN PART OF LITHUANIA

ABSTRACT

For the steady-state flow model of eastern Lithuania Quaternary aquifer system was
compiled. Considering main particularities of this multi-layered system 11 layers were
distinguished in this model, including 3 interglacial/interstadial aquifers. This
distinction into separate modeled layers is based by analyzed hydraulic and
hydrogeochemical data criteria. The regional groundwater steady-state flow model was
calibrated using also tritium and oxygen-18 stable isotope data.
