ABSTRACT
/Full article available only in Bulgarian language/

It was successfully completed the first stage of the development of a multi-functional network of permanent GPS base stations in Bulgaria. The network receives and monitors the satellite signals from both the American network GPS and the Russian network GLONASS.
The developed network allows the user to operate in real time as well as in post processing mode contributing significantly for the improvement of the measurement accuracy of the used GPS/GLONASS receiver.
The system enjoys a widely spread application in fields as surveying and geodetic measurements, cadastre, GIS, photogrametry, transport, utility services and others.
Using the network the users receive precise solutions with the desired accuracy, optimize their time and save means and resources.
The successful application of the system is an important proof of the fruitful connection between the scientific developments and achievements and the business practices.
