PROPOSAL OF ALTERNATIVES FOR THE TRANSPORT OF BACKFILL MATERIAL BASED ON THE CAPACITY CALCULATION OF TRUCK TRANSPORT IN MINING CONDITIONS: CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT

Various methods are used in the mining of minerals, where the transport of material is an integral part. This paper deals with the transport problem of backfill material from surface stock to underground tank. To solve the problem is applied the capacitive calculation of transport using 2 trucks and a loader. The calculation is complemented by graphic models. The backfill material is available on 5 surface stocks. It is possible to transport the material directly to the workplace from each heap, which is not effective in some cases.
The quantities of the transported material are determined from individual stocks per day, based on the calculation and graphical models. From these values implied, that under these conditions, it is not possible to provide a given quantity in some cases (3 of 5). Based on the obtained results and changes in the original conditions (in some cases), 3 transport alternatives are proposed for the required quantities. The proposed alternatives were assigned for individual stocks. Map of assigned alternatives to stocks can be used as a tool for decision-making of the backfill material transport. The proposal presented in this paper is only one of possible solution.
