ABSTRACT

Basic results of many-years complex geomechanic research experiments carried out in Far
Eastern Russian mines and aimed at a problem of rock – burst are given in the paper. Methods
and approaches to rock – burst assessment are reported, some regularities of an ultimate -
strained rock massif behavior and prognostic criteria of sorting of massif sections to a category
of hazard regarding dynamical rock pressure appearances are considered. The paper includes
four figures and 13 references.

Keywords: Burst-hazard control, mine pressure, geoacoustic monitoring, acoustic emission, acoustic activity map.
