INFORMATION FLOW AND THEIR INFLUENCE TO THE MANAGEMENT EFFECTIVENESS IN ORGANIZATIONS OF TOURIST TRAFFIC

ABSTRACT

Conception of information society can be viewed as using of information and
communication Technologies that are significant phenomenon of present economy,
since they remove geographical boundaries and they support process of economy
globalization and international cooperation. Most mature countries are striving
deliberately to use advantages of information and communication Technologies for
acceleration of development of society, economy and quality of the inhabitants live.
Government of Slovak republic declares development of society informatization as one
of the main priorities of Slovakia in the following years. Effectiveness of information
system is one of the assumptions of the firm success. Basis of such system consists from
the proper connected information flows. During building of branch information systems
there is necessary to specify first of all which information are interesting for the firm in
given branch and in what way firm can obtain relevant information from its
environment, in what period it is necessary to actualize concrete data and what will be
their price. It is necessary to deal also with information that is directed to the firm’s
environment, since they create image of the given subject. Presented contribution
elaborates information flows and their specification in area of tourist traffic in the frame
of destination management at eastern Slovakia.
