ABSTRACT
In the south of the European part of Russia natural parks are basic units of regional nature conservation framework. A full-fledged situational and diagnostic analysis of current condition of the territory of natural parks is available within the Regional Nature
Conservation Geoinformational System (GIS), which is oriented at making efficient administrative decisions for nature management. Administration model for specially protected natural territories must have a geoinformational basis, i.e. it must use digital
thematic maps and data of remote sensing. Geosystemic approach to geoecological analysis of an examined territory proves to be universal, because it is based on a clear idea of the structure of natural landscapes and links existing geoecological problems and
particular territories. Within the territory of natural parks under consideration the following typical zones have been singled out: reserved zone, zone of special protection, zone of ecologicaleducational
tourism, historical-cultural zone, recreational zone, agricultural zone,
building zone, administrative zone and zone of services to visitors. Scientific research carried out on the territory of natural parks must give priority to monitoring of natural and historical-cultural complexes and objects by using modern GIS-technologies.
