USE OF COST INFORMATION IN DECISION-MAKING IN THE MINING ENTERPRISES

ABSTRACT
Costs are present in many daily decisions they take managers from lower hierarchical levels, but especially important for strategic decision taken at top management level. The very adoption of certain strategies for the enterprise is based on analytical
considerations which require methods of economic and financial evaluation of projects,
methods that can not be imagined outside costs. Allocation of resources to the enterprise
are based on estimated costs, just as they and replacement of assets. Computation of costs and control-oriented decision became one of the basic mechanism driving profitable undertaking. As an informational tool, computers “cause” and provides information on costs and profits, and as a tool of management, is a technical decision
that increases profitability. Particulars of the technological mining industry induces the specific cost computation, with profound implications in the decision-making. In the paper is analyzed from the perspective of the generation, use and recovery information
on the nature of the cost in decision-making in the largest mining company in Romania, National Company of Hard Coal.
