ABSTRACT
Association Quercetum trojanae dukagjini in Kosovo as relict and refugial
phytocoenosis is preserved only in some specific localities: near Pashtrik, Koritnik,
Oshlak and some individuals in complex of Carralevas Mountains near Theranda. The
altitude of these grounds is from 300 to 900 m (1000 m). Geological composition is
made of limestone rocks. The pedological cover is red earth (terra rosa). The
phytocenosis is under the Mediterranean climate, which comes through the valley of the
Drini i Bardhë River. Phytocoenosis is also under the influence of anthropogenic factor
so great in many places is almost gone. Association Quercetum trojanae dukagjini is
well differentiated in the floristic aspect. The composition of the phytoceonological
table participates in 140 plant species. Characteristic species of the association are:
Quercus trojana, Ruta graveolens, Pyrus amygdaliformis, Acanthus balcanicus and
Euphorbia myrsinites. Quercetum trojanae dukagjini is classified in alliance Ostryo-
