ABSTRACT

The pyrope deposits under the Ceské Stredohorí mountain range have been known for at
least hundred of years. The paper just summarized the geological situation of pyrope
localities, describes the history of its being exploited and finding of exceptional games.
Main attention is devoted to the result of mineralogical research of localities, deposit
meaning and perspective of individual localities.
